Mr. Durowaiye Ayodele is an Alumni of University of Wales, Cardiff, United Kingdom where he graduated with a B.Sc. degree in International Studies. He also obtained his master’s degree, M.Sc. Maritime Studies with specialty in Ports & Shipping.
He started building his managerial experience with the Nigeria Ports authority (NPA) in the capacity of Senior Manager-Personal Assistant to the Managing Director, Operations and Marine during which he served between 2012 and 2015. His job brief included: coordinating and guidance on Operation and Marine issues to the Managing Director; developing policy proposal for the Managing Director’s consideration; Co-coordinating Terminal Operators, Shipping Companies and Stakeholder Interface in the Maritime Sector; Co-ordinating position papers to the Federal Government on port operations and marine issues.
In 2023 Durowaiye Ayodele was appointed General Manager, Managing Director’s Office by the Board upon the recommendation of the Executive Management Committee chaired by the Managing Director. His job brief in the new assignment includes managing the MD’s office and carrying out the directives of the MD as it relates to any Department, Division or Directorate; advise on general operational matters & port management; coordinating the operations of the Export Processing Terminals and Performing any other duties as directed by the Managing Director.
